The Orca is an iconic sight to see in our local waters, but did you know that Ocra are found in every ocean on the planet? These highly intelligent and adaptable animals are apex predators in the water, taking on and even actively hunting Great White Sharks only for their liver. How wild is that?!
Traveling at a top speed of 56km/h, it’s an understatement saying these animals are fast. This speed is an essential tool to their hunting arsenal. Chasing after seals and sea lions, cutting off the escape and balling up schools of herring to even crating tidal waves to knock their prey off of ice. They also use their incredibly powerful tails to create an underwater shockwave that stuns fish to make them an easy snack. They are marvelous animals.
